Event Description

Join us for our first annual charity run benefiting children at the Home of Good Hope school and orphanage in Mugiti, Uganda! This is a family friendly, non-competitive, self-timed 5K and 1 Mile race in Springville, Utah. The first 200 registrants will receive a free running hat! There will be food and swag at the finish-line.

Children ages 4-12 register at a discount rate. Groups of 4+ also receive a discount. Prices increase after September 30th, so be sure to register early!

All proceeds will help feed, shelter, and educate the children at the Home of Good Hope. For more information about the school and orphanage, please visit: mugitigoodhope.carrd.co

Who does this charity 5K benefit?

The funds raised by this race will benefit the children at Mugiti Home of Good Hope School and Orphanage in Uganda, providing them with food, shelter and education.

What do I get for participating in the race?

All participants will get a free running hat as well as swag (which might include a drawstring bag, keychain or lunchbox), donuts, ice-cream, fruit and other food at the finish-line provided by our sponsors. We will not be giving out medals this year.

Can I push a stroller?

Yes! The 5K is 95% on pavement or sidewalk, only a short distance on grass. The 1 Mile run is about 70% on pavement or sidewalk.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Please keep your pup on a leash and use your judgment as to whether they should be close to a lot of people and potentially other pets.

What time do I need to be there?

Please arrive by 8:30am to get your running bib and running hat. The race begins at 9AM.

Can I pick up my bib and hat prior to Saturday?

Yes, we've partnered with Art City Sweets on the corner of Main St and 400 North in Springville, where you can go Friday from 5-7pm the night before to pick up your goods.
